Negocio S.O.S. was conceived as a small & medium business crisis relief program designed to assist owners after catastrophic events. Negocio S.O.S. consists of three parts: individual business assessments with the owners, personalized work plans, and one-on-one discussion sessions of the plan where recommendations are presented to each entrepreneur. As often as possible, with contributing partners, businesses receive small unrestricted cash grants, which the program oversees, to fulfill their immediate needs. The unrestricted cash grant aspect is key, as we have learned that entrepreneurs know better than anyone else what their immediate needs are and how to meet them.
Negocios S.O.S. has been successfully implemented after hurricanes Irma and María,
the earthquakes of 2019 and the COVID-19 pandemic.
